Project Description
Workers’ Compensation Permanent Partial Disability Exams.
What is a permanent partial disability? A permanent partial disability occurs when a worker sustains a permanent injury that interferes with their ability to perform the tasks of their job or normal activities of daily life. The specific injury creates physical limitations that do not allow the injured worker to function in the same way that they enjoyed prior to the injury.
For example, Jeff is a construction worker who has worked on commercial office building sites for the last 5 years. During the course of his work day Jeff suffers a fall and severely injures his back. Jeff is diagnosed with a herniated disc and debilitating leg pain that prohibits him from performing his previous construction job.
In this example, Jeff has suffered a workplace injury that interferes with his ability to return to his former job, but may allow him to work in some capacity.
Jeff would most likely be eligible for permanent partial disability payments.
The chiropractic physician team at Aligned Chiro & Physical Rehabilitation perform permanent partial disability exams for Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Claims.
